Our chicken keeping courses are designed both for the beginner or for those that want to brush up on their hen keeping skills.  Courses are delivered in a relaxed and informal manner and include the information as well as the practical handling skills needed to keep chickens or ducks in your garden.  More details below.

New for 2012! - We will be running a Keeping Hens and Poultry course in June at the wonderful Greenan Farm, Muesum and Maze.  This will take place on June, 9th and bookings can be on Greenan Farm's website.  Lots of other interesting courses on offer at Greenan also, so well worth checking that website out.

Keeping Hens for Beginners

This is a two hour course focused on helping you gain the skills you need to keep healthy laying hens.  This chicken keeping course contains both an information session on successful hen keeping as well as having a practical aspect to the course where you will have the opportunity to get up close with some hens and handle them if you wish.  The course is delivered in a relaxed and fun manner by an experienced poultry keeper.
